lost in the dreamland

Feeling like i'd worked for ages & i need quick getaway soon! my dream was to visit Universal Studio Singapore+Sentosa island, Bali/Bandung, Disneyland Hong Kong, umrah + Istanbul, Phuket/Krabi or any other beautiful Thai Beach but i'm not sure when i can turn my dream into a reality.. In Malaysia, i had strong desire to see roses & savour chocolate-flavoured strawberries @ Cameron Highland & maybe, Langkawi.. Sabah wasnt on my top list for now because Cameron offered tea, roses & chocolates meanwhile there are lots of beautiful beaches in Peninsular Malaysia.. Golden White Sand Resort &Spa at Batu Ferringhi that i stayed during PENSMA Congress already exposed me to beach this year & trip to Bukit Bendera where i enjoyed the back to nature adventure (cable car +monkeycup+flowers+beach view+ many other attractions) & trip to Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam gave me enough exposure to nature.. So, i want a different scenery to recharge..
But time constraint make it hard for me to escape from the world of working...

pfizer dinner talk lagiii..

Initial plan was hop on hop off, go to new pacific hotel first for pfizer talk & then head to fresenius kabi talk at renaissance.. But man can only propose, god dispose..the talk finish at 7 something so it's already late to attend that fk talk.. Moreover, 7 - 8 was the time for maghrib prayer so i settle down at new pacific.. Quite good decision, the food/main dishes were awesome.. I had enough doses of ice cream & dessert before so today is the turn to savour heavy meal.. My only complain is just the curry.. all in all, the cuisine was okayyy..

suku akhir AFC CUP : Kelantan vs Erbil/ arbil 18/9/12

Erbil 5 -1 kelantan.. Review game : taktik bertahan memakan diri TRW..

pfizer dinner talk @renaissance hotel

A place where i can load more and more cholesterol! Savouring the ice cream & pudding and my 'not a favourite but i 'hentam sajalah bila dah depan mata' various types of cakes.. Dislike the tiramisu and pink coloured dragonfruit mousse! But credit to 'ntah ape name yg berbungkus macam ketupat' & chicken phad kra pau with basil leaves & 'lala @ maybe kerang xtau masak ape'.. Huhu..regret i took just a small portion! will try again if i had a chance to attend fresenius kabi talk day after tomorrow/on wednesday if they provide buffet style dinner! Till then, XOXO!

5 perkara sebelum datang 5 perkara

having on & off pain dampen my daily activities.. it started in the morning but didnt completely resolved until now.. went to A&E yesterday, got injection, feel better for a while  but the pain resurface...despite got MC,  still 'gagahkan diri' to finish work.. TPN  is exclusive, not many pharmacists know about it unless was trained for specific amount  of time.. thus, it's hard to get replacement when 'the damsel in distress' situation arise.. the only option is to bother CDR  but he got his CDR  works to finish, too! plus, the triple burden for 3 public holidays is too much.. so, 'dgn seluruh tubuh macam kejang sebab tahan sakit, dgn panas sejuknya, x larat dan segala macam perasaan,  seluruh kudrat yg tersisa  dikerah untuk menyiapkan  kerja yg berbaki'...  berada dalam situasi sebegini,  i envy  teamwork by the chinese.. sorang sakit, berderet datang tolong..  sorang banyak kerja, yg lain pun turut sama  sibuk.. sorang balik lambat, yg lain  pun balik lambat jugak.. vice versa for the malay.. knowledge yg ada pun susah nak dikongsi, ape lagi giving reference books  yang memang  berlebihan.. tak masuk lagi klausa berkira dengan kerja, jealous  bila nampak seseorang macam tak banyak kerja, gosip sana sini dengan niat menjatuhkan orang lain, bila salah sikit hentam habis-habisan, bukan tolong betulkan balik, bila mintak tolong, bagi 1001 excuses dan macam-macam lagi.. tapi that's typical malay..  xde apa yg boleh dibuat sebab memang dah jadi tradisi kot.. x semua tergolong dalam kategori  typical malay, still ade yg ok..    my point for today is,  be grateful klu sihat walafiat & berada dalam komuniti yg harmoni - that's a blessing, yang tak ternilai harganya!

because i'm a pharmacist : part 2

today, it's more to  creative ways to get rid of expired items.. actually, slow moving items were offered to another hospitals first to save government's budget.. but when there  are sudden drop  in the demand of certain drugs or rare items that  only few hospitals  used them, expired items are inevitable.. if the items  had non medical uses, i'll utilized them to the max! for instance,  snakes were afraid of the smell of sulphur, so  use expired sulphur as  precaution from snake... expired coconut oil can chase away 'anai-anai' meanwhile chloroform can bind pin & plastic together ( a PRP use choloroform to bind her nametag & it works!)... expired TPN ( stability for compounded TPN bag is 48 hours but if patient died & no replacement with similar requirement, nothing we can do)... because it contains nutrition, feed them to trees & they will yield great  fruits with great taste & size!

because i'm a pharmacist...

as for the introduction, l'd like to say that life go on..  today, my rambling will focus on  my career... i know, out there, thousand people  dream to be a doctor or engineer  and never consider the idea of becoming a pharmacist.. truth to be told, many had vague idea on what a pharmacist actually do.. i'm not going to write a long, boring essay on the description on the career as a pharmacist... just want to share how  grateful i am  to be a pharmacist... first of all, i want to highlight about the salary  since it's the most important part for many people.. in the government, i must say that  the salary is reasonable enough,   not differ much from other U41, just add on critical allowance  but still cant beat doctor because  they got on call allowance... but that was compensate by that 'claim off sukati part', be it  one hour, the whole morning or evening or even one full day!  of course a simple person like me will choose freedom over money!  & the salary of doctor & pharmacist  will distance further when climbing the rank because doctor only take 2 year  to  get UD44 whereas pharmacist need 3years.. & the same thing apply to 48 & higher - different time-based to climb a higher rank.. for private sector, if doctor work on their own clinic, a pharmacist can gain profit too in term of opening a community pharmacist.. good networking  with local hospitals or clinic & they will make profit by being mediator between hospital & drug company.. translated, apart from selling medicines to public, another  target market was hospitals or clinic that buy medicines in bulk..  & if the doctor can  work at private hospitals, pharmacist can get higher salary too by venturing in the industry sector.. in simple word, work at drug company either as quality control manager, sales representatives and many more, chance are you got handsome amount of wages every month!  &if the doctors has surgery, medical and sk on, you can classify pharmacist in government sector to 3 category - hospital/ clinic, enforcement/pharmacy division and Biro Pengawalan Farmaseutikal Kebangsaan.. if your heart lies in management,  opt for pharmacy division, if your passion is exploring world/ work like a police/ want to be a part time lawyer, choose enforcement whereas BPFK suit those that love lab work .. different scope of job at different places!   as for me, the major factor that made me pursue  a career  as pharmacist is because i dont want to be involved in world of needle, blood and scary diseases! no point devote almost your whole life in something that you hate most.. the not so hectic schedule also give me advantage..  sometimes, i work on public holidays or weekends, but i'm free on most weekends/public holidays,it wasnt too much to cope.. & who says pharmacist are blind on diseases? we did know the symptoms of & diseases, how the  drugs work to combat the illness, the right dose and so on..

technology of medicines from the point of view of a pharmacist

being me, i hate being static, repeating the same routine again and again... so,  joining MTAC  or Medication Theraphy Adherence Clinic once in a while  was my way to spice up my life.. and today,  i managed to counsel 2 patients plus 1 case that i hand over to a colleague.. i dont  have specific target, so i dont mind to be a passive listener that interrupt their conversation, sometimes.. my conclusion was, telderly need special  attention  when it come to medicines... one patient  that i counselled  had difficulty in remembering  how to  use devices step by step till i wonder, why dont the drug company  invent something new  & provide cheaper alternative to aid the elderly in taking medications? i mean, we know for sure that  a pill box or tablet cutter will cost another penny and a spacer for asthmatic patients could burn a hole in  patients' pocket money especially the poor one.. all in one combination in single pill, special formulation for a faster  release ie Zyprexa Zydis or Gradumet  new technology did assist  them a bit,  but newer technology  that cater the special need of the elderly was needed.. i always knew that having a thumbgrip- friendly  inhaler may help but why dont the company   came up  with a bigger  easyhaler for the elderly?  or sublingual all in one pill for common diseases? as for children, they already had strategies to tackle them -  use flavoured syrup formulation to ensure children love their medications , easyhaler  make inhalation of asthmatic medicines easier and novofine needle  deliver less painful,  if not painless  injection... but so far, in my knowlwdge, rarely the ederly  being the centre of attention when it come to medicines that improve their quality of life or prolonged their survival...

A day at parit buntar

a convoy of 2 families heading to the same destination, sharing the same  vision & one kind grandmother unite them and welcome them with hospitality  ---> sound  like a drama plot? that  was a true story that i'd experienced during the 'Merdeka' eve,  after what seemed to be a never ending journey & a dramatic 'crush' or 'unconditional love' by the 'abang' police  due to small mistake..  back to main topic, as for the introduction, Parit Buntar house  traditional residence, the antique element of wooden double storey houses were preserved together with their beautiful carvings..  Modernization cause extinction of traditional houses & replaced them with city of stone and this phenomenon  spread to the village till a younger generation like me only encounter the same characteristics of the traditional houses at museum - beautiful carvings, wooden house with  a panel between window (dunno how to describe it but i know that it was  a famous spot for photographers to shot wedding pictures!) & magnificent landscape of flowers... no wonder i was so 'jakun' when surrounded   by  traditional houses! yes, i'm a 'kampung' folk,  but my village was already  polluted with modern houses or wooden houses with no artistic touch at all.. the same goes to nearby villages & the villages nearby the 'nearby villages' & the cycle continues=)
