PENSMA CONGRESS 2012

havent write for a while.. lost interest in blogging lately.. but the congress was  too awesome to let it go without any remarks..

although it was more like a course, attending the talks conducted by delegates  from UK, Philippine, Japan & various countries was something that i valued much.. to get an insight  of what's going on around the globes was a new experience that lift me from being stuck in the 'frog under the coconut shell'   zone.. even though i know there will be another course at pulau cebu, philippine this upcoming july, i' m more thn grateful( having chance to  attend the PENSMA CONGRESs), tribute to Fresenius Kabi  for  sponsoring  all the expenses for that 3 nights stay at Golden Sands Resort..  it was almost impossible for the hospital to entertain claim  if the flight tickets, registration fee, accommodation & food expenses were more than RM 2000..

and a dietitian that i met also complained how hard it was for her to get sponsorship but she was lucky that another drug company agreed to sponsor her later.. a beginner like me, who just got to know the world of nutrition for less than 3 months & never make TPN  due  to health reasons, was easily satisfied with a congress held in Malaysia.. as my fb status say, meeting people involved in this field is a blessing indeed - got to know colleagues  from various hospitals, dietitians,  drug company representatives and meet my lecturer - that will help me in my career as TPN pharmacist! i dont know any doctors/ nurses there but i do meet familiar faces that worked at my hospital, but i'm not sure about  their names :'(  gained knowledges on what the heck  nutritional support team is, updates on probiotics to treat diarrhea in critically ill patients and many more useful updates! so,  my lack of knowledges due to no guidances & no exposure was compensated by this 3days congress.. & i'm thankful for that special dinner treat at Ferringhi Garden by a Fresenius Kabi rep - not only because that place and the price of food there were too exclusive, but also  because of that brief meeting, i got to now more through the conversation between HUSM colleague & him..

and walking together from the restaurant to our hotel through Ferringhi night market  was quite enjoyable  when you meet nice people.. through him, i also  got to know his bosses, namely the FK Head of marketing unit & the product manager... the dinner was more to build a rapport  between us in an informal way..  & almost forgot to highlight here that i really enjoyed myself at the hotel - overall, i rate 5 stars out of 5 for the hotel facilities & its location ( ferringhi night market in front of the hotel & various outdoor activities at the beach)..

twisted fate

just when i thought that my life is smooth, an ordeal come unexpectedly.. part of me was reluctant to let go of my current lifestyle ..

just a quick word..

tupperware madness

the new tupperware freezer mate set was all over tupperware  pages& the photos  from i love freezer mate are tempting.. since ramadan was around the corner, my hunting for cooking-related thingy should start soon..  and my ultimate dream is to own a complete freezer mate set..  sounds crazy  to spend lots on tupperware items but i think it's a must for somebody  that rarely cook to own something that could retain the freshness of meats/vegetables  longer.. moreover, i just have my first 2 door refrigerator, so i should care on the  maintenance from the beginning.. lots of good reviews by tupperware fanatics at my office  didnt help in suppressing the desire.. how i could resist  tupperware when everything  around me at the pantry was tupperware items  except the mugs and plates!

boring mode

i guess fb & blog are designed for a boring person like me.. still coping and figure out how to kill  boredom.. a house with 3 bedroom, a kitchen  and living room is too spacious for just one person.. still dont know who are my neighbours because i never meet anybody outside  whenever i came home or went to work.. so my life now revolve around work & home.. will meet friends only when they are free especially when i  had automatic off after  night shift or pm shift.. off for 1hour or 2 usually for urgent matters or due to medical condition.. rarely claim off for leisure unless one full day off..     since the furnitures were still ' under construction', i still live with basic living amenities=) still cant decide what type of bed that i want, plan to have induction cooker but i dont know where i can get a cheap induction cooker(troublesome to cook using conventional 'dapur gas' because i live alone and my kitchen was still empty- just a big refrigerator in the kitchen..  so, because i cant get induction cooker yet,  dont expect to find cooking oil, egg, rice, sauces and so on  in my kitchen right now, which explained why my  siblings refuse to accompany me=) cooking my favourite trifle, kek batik, chocolate pancake and any other desserts   is considered impossible.. i know that some people cook  using rice cooker but let's just say that i dont know how to turn a rice cooker into stove :-P when there are too many things to buy , i prefer to 'cook' at stalls/restaurants :-D having a driving license just for the sake of inserting in a compartment in my wallet complicated the things further..

wedding all around

3 invitations in a day  but i managed to attend just 2 of them plus  being a loyal partner attended  the friend of  friend wedding.. never in my life  attend too much wedding in a day at 3 different place.. quite an interesting day.. honestly, i went to 'kenduri kahwin' to honour those that invited me, so i'm not making  a fuss whether it' s a grand wedding or not.. though, i  must admitted that  i love cute decorations either  pelamin, bilik tidur , meja makan beradap, khemah and doorgifts..   if someone ask me, i'd say better  to hold a feast within means & making a loan for a wedding is just too bothersome.. of course most people dream  of a grand wedding but living within our means save us from unnecessary debt later on.. debt is unavoidable when buying a land or purchasing a car or house(unless you are damn  rich till buying properties with cash is not a big deal.
