money matter : better late than never!
Reading Reader's Digest October 2010: your guide to investing, saving & making most of your money.. i think it's better for a fresh graduate who start working to read sonething on managing finance so that your money wont go astray... I own a copy of Graduan which provide useful tips on managing money but i didnt take it seriously before...
For introduction, start by paying yourself first... Saving should constitute at least 10-20% of your salary... Increasing the portion is welcome, the more, the better! It's crucial to separate saving from emergency fund... At least, open fixed saving account and another account for emergency fund.. Expert say, at very least, emergency fund should cover your 3month expense.. When a tragedy strike, emergency fund will be handy & it's the one that will come to your rescue without the need to empty your bank account!
For cashflow, let's divide our basic expenditures into 3 part...
1) fixed expense (things that dont change fronm month to month) - house, insurance or car payment..
2) committed expense (things you are committed to) - phone bills, food, transportation, contribution to parents, utilities payment & so on
3) the rest falls into discretionary expense... Spending on cloting, entertainment or vacation & so on.. The best rule of thumb is 50-30-20 , 50 for fixed & committed expenses.. 30% should be discretionary spending & the final 20% goes to saving... It may be daunting to go from barely making ends meet to saving a chunk of your income, but having a plan in place is the first step...
One more thing, you shouldnt touch your saving, make sure save extra penny for car downpayment or happy occasion like marriage because if you use your saving, at the end, you'll feel what a waste of your saving - too little balance left after you withdraw your money, is equal to not saving at all..
& keep your temptation to celebrate your first payment small.. Nothing wrong with celebration, but keep it up to your par

ajihs nasi lemak 80sen
Having an avid TRW fan as friend is helpful sometimes.. Ajihs Nasi Lemak got overwhelming visitors after Piya 16 take out his outer jersey & expose his Ajihs Nasi Lemak inner shirt to celebrate his goal in the Malaysia's Cup semifinal...
My first dining experience at Ajih Nasi Lemak started when my friend wrote a status mentioning her treat there if TRW qualify to Malaysian Cup's final.. I said that i want to join her & she fetched me with her marvelous Treble mission cake, printed with her picture donned in TRW jersey & mafla.. However, maybe because i'm not a strawberry lover, the cake didnt suit my tastebud... Maybe i expect too much for a cake worth RM50 &extra RM 10 for picture printing...
Talking about the place, dont expect a grand restaurant. It was more to spacious open concept building at Kg Guchil Bayam , quite near to Nirwana Maju
(same row if you was from Kuang Kerian) but you cant go there by walking from Nirwana Maju! i use Nirwana Maju as reference since both of my friend and I had difficulty locating the exact location from hospital kota bharu. I cant remember if it was 2 or 3 traffic light from Wisma Persekutuan but i do remember that it was a straight journey, just beware the red Ajihs Nasi Lemak buntingat the opposite side..
The nasi lemak was yummy& no, the price wasnt 80 cent.. You can only get nasi lemak without side dish for 80cent! & no printed Ajih Nasi Lemak tissue like we see in fb, it's solely for marketing purpose... But you can get jersey with Piya's autograph... because it's delicious, i'll definitely return one day!

random ramble.
Transfer into an empty house is a headache sometimes.. need to buy everything on your own, every single things..
Maybe the largest portion goes to compulsory appliances, they may vary from person to person, but basically, for me, i cant live without refrigerator & tv.. Doesnt matter if it's just a cheap tv, the function is still the same, anyway - another source of entertainment after work... & yeah, the stove & cooking utensils may come in handy when Ramadan was around the corner... Used to cook almost everyday during Ramadan, both for bukak puasa & sahur, so i have basic necessities ie tupperware, garlic & onion keeper, chopping board, 'periuk belanga & kuali', blender, rice cooker & many more...
Still looking for mortar & pestle.. However, because i rarely cook now, it isnt on my urgent list.. Quite 'leceh' to buy raw materials to cook ie meat/chicken/vegetables & so on & then cook for just one or two person after a tiring day at work... Tidak berbaloi - bahan mentah bukannye tahan lame pun...
Believe it or not, because i dont get gift like those newly weds, i'd spent quite huge amount already (huge for me, maybe nmt to others... But bear in mind, small things, when accumulated can burn your pocket money! try it & you'll know what i'm talking about! =)..
Still looking for a decent queen bed, had been searching frantically for past few mobth but to no avail.. I dislike the modern design (yg macam sofa tu memangla nampak macam hotel, tp entahla, not my taste... Whereas, if i found the one that i like, it may cost a bomb! Somebody said that 'beli je mane2 pun', but being me, i 'rela tidur beralaskan lantai dari beli katil yg bukan taste sy... & should say, kb sucks in term of variety for furniture design! pusing-pusing kedai sekeliling kb ni, balik-balik bampak design sama... Oh, how i wish i'll get katil yg ok dgn price yg ok... Maybe i can hunt for mini sofa after 'misi pencarian katil' complete...

snogurt & wrap up of the week
I'm working, currently no patient around & i'm hoping for less patients today.. So sleepy & afraid that i'll eventually make error (To err is human =)..
So, my first review was about Snogurt.. I went to Jalan Panji branch, near the famous Selera Cik Siti restaurant & can consider that i'm lucky because i got 30% discount! My review was, the froyo/frozen yogurt was sour & tutti frutti is way better ... However, Snogurt is price-wise, cheaper than TF & help to fulfill froyo craving.. & we can change the taste by modifying the topping, use something sweet to mask the sour froyo.. Unless i want to be declared bancrupt at young age, i have to put Snogurt under my radar when it comes to froyo =)something that resemble ice cream, A healthier alternative was a perfect dessert under the scorching sun..

week of...
Week of course & just a day at work.. Course, in my definition is the best opportunity to update knowledge & a way to escape from work & take a break for a while & also meet people not from your current circles.. Although i must admit that i'd finally love my routine of doing ward round /pharmacist round everyday to monitor patient's progress.. A kick start for clinical & should say that i'm back to square one, learning bit by bit.. Had vision to empower the service to the same standard like those pioneering hospital in nutrition support team & i'm hoping for attachment & relevant courses to gain more knowledge.. The presence of a lecturer is a blessing in disguise in which i get opportunity to learn.. & meeting representatives also widen my horizon because they also gave me useful knowledges & also, telling their experience dealing with another hospital.. Combining the two pieces together, now i get a clear picture on what i should do.. & in a discussion, somebody said that ward round should give something useful for the patients..
